Production
Smurfit Kappa Hoya produces 284,000 tons containerboard mainly testliner, craftliner, fluting as well as 80,000 tons white lined chipboard per annum. Both mills have a common infrastructure.
The most part of the 300 employees (FTE) are working in a six shift system. 170 of them are working in the paper, the other 130 in the board department. Smurfit Kappa Hoya is the biggest employer in the town.
